Practice Director and Physiotherapist – Women’s Health, Musculoskeletal and Clinical Pilates
Kathryn graduated from the University of Sydney with first class Honours, and even at this early point in her career, realised her passion for women’s health. Following graduation, Kathryn undertook extensive training in the field of women's health and pelvic floor. This training lead her to work closely with various leading gynaecologists, obstetricians and colorectal surgeons in Sydney's Eastern suburbs. During this time she began tutoring fellow physiotherapists in the areas of pelvic floor and prolapse, as well as gained her certification in childbirth and parenting education at one of Sydney’s leading Women’s Hospitals. If this wasn't enough, her thirst for further knowledge in the areas of pregnancy, birth and post-partum care lead her to enrol in a Bachelor of Midwifery at The University of Technology Sydney in 2013 - We are not sure where she found the time!
Kathryn is a Physiotherapist who works closely with her client’s to enable a thorough assessment of their condition, and assist them to achieve their individual goals. She believes that every woman is unique and therefore requires a unique approach to their treatment. Kathryn is a trained Pilates practitioner and thoroughly believes in the many benefits of developing strong body awareness and expanding one's knowledge surrounding their own anatomy. She is passionate about working alongside women to assist them to improve their overall strength, confidence and return them to optimal function.
Kathryn has extensive experience in treating women of all ages who are suffering from common pelvic floor related conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, sexual pain and bowel dysfunction, and finds these areas of rehabilitation particularly rewarding. She also enjoys assisting women in the management of back pain, pregnancy related pelvic girdle dysfunction, neck pain, abdominal rehabilitation, pregnancy and post-natal related hand conditions, breast conditions such as mastitis, and vascular conditions that may present throughout pregnancy such as varicose veins.
Kathryn is addicted to expanding her knowledge in all areas of Women's Health and has recently been accepted into Curtin University to complete a Graduate certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy, specialising in Women's Health.
When talking with Kathryn, her passion for women’s health is apparent as she exudes enthusiasm and knowledge. Outside of her women’s health role, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family, 'rebooting' with a Pilates reformer class, and relaxing by the beach.

Nawal’s greatest attributes are her passion, drive and attention to detail. She loves a challenge and always seeks to provide patients with a thorough education surrounding their condition.
Both throughout her pregnancy and in the early stages of parenthood, Nawal realised there was so much she didn’t know about her own body. In discussions with friends, family and patients she realised this knowledge gap is extremely common. It was this that inspired her to gain a deeper understanding of women’s health so she was able provide treatment options for issues faced by women of all ages. She feels it is tremendously important to understand how and why things happen – so that women can feel they are in control of their bodies.
When away from work, Nawal enjoys spending time at the beach, seeing live music/going to music festivals, or indulging in a wine tours (though admits to finding it difficult these days with a toddler in tow!). She also thoroughly enjoys travelling and immersing herself in different cultures.
